Eat this Lomography!

The Samsung Ultratouch is a mobile phone with an 8 megapixel high quality digital camera. Is there a better way to show this than to hold a photo expo with pictures only taken by a mobile phone? The first ever mobilography expo was born and held at the FoMu in Antwerp. Over a thousand people came to the opening night and vernissage. Many more visited the expo ‘Blue & Friends’. All people were invited through social networks and word of mouth on facebook. The photographers themselves were young talented people discovered on Flickr. They worked for two months on their projects which lead to extraordinary results. The expo was an original campaign to promote Samsung and its range of smart phones with qualitative digital cameras. Say fromage!

 

 

Nice to know: The work ‘Hem en haar’ (see below - Him and Hair) was selected by the Canvas Collection and later exposed at Bozar(Museum) in Brussels.

‘Pixel is the new grain! I’m still an analog lover and was very sceptical on shooting with a mobile phone. But I think I surprised myself with the result.’
