TRACK, a contemporary city conversation
Track is a temporary exhibition of 30 international artists on different public locations in Gent. A successor to Chambre d’Amis and Over The Edges. It is a dialogue between artists, inhabitants and visitors. It expands the centre of the city towards its edges but without boundaries. Art has no boundaries.
Gonzales was selected to take care of the communication for the exhibition. The communication, however essential, can never pretend to be a work of art itself. It is used to show the way rather than to define it. One might look at it as non-design with a clear idea. Subordinate to the work of the artists but nevertheless present and constantly evolving.
