Hot town, summer in the Bibi.

Het Steen is the oldest building in Antwerp(built around 1200). It is a castle that used to be at the centre of Antwerp city life. A place for sailors and civilians, close to the red light district. Those days are long gone, but after having served for over 50 years as a quiet maritime museum, it was time to put some life into it again.

Het Steen became Bibi, a summer bar for youngsters where dance nights, burlesque shows, kids activities, krooner performances and films happened. gonzales made the logo (subtly referring to the old red light district, nodge, nodge, wink, wink) and was responsible for most of the interior design, recycling old beer crates, creating brand new tables and assembling camp with designer furniture into a unique bar experience in the city of Antwerp.  

Bibi is a part of Antwerp 2011, youth capital of Europe.
